Hearing into CFMEU to commence in Sydney
The Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption will commence a hearing into the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) in Sydney next week.
Proceedings will take place in the Commission’s hearing room on Level 5, 55 Market St Sydney between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Tuesday, 15 July.
The Commission began a three day hearing into CFMEU matters in Melbourne on Monday 7 July when 15 witnesses gave evidence.

A witness list for the Sydney hearing has been finalised and is now available online.
Under Practice Direction 1, legal counsel for the CFMEU and other interested parties will have the opportunity to submit a statement and apply for authorisation to cross examine witnesses in due course.
